Micro Editor
Micro Editor is a mini, translucent, floating editor that enables a user to easily see the text he/she is dictating while strolling through other applications or screens- whether it is images on the PACS or patient charts on the EMR. The user can open the Micro Editor from the menu or give the command “Open Micro Editor.”
Note: Dictation gets anchored to the Micro Editor by default whenever it is open.
Tip: Once you are done dictating, you can simply use the command “Transfer Text” to transfer the text from the Micro Editor to your notes.
- Transparency
Adjust the Micro Editor’s transparency to seamlessly integrate it into your workflow. Whether you’re reviewing images on the PACS or patient charts on the EMR, find the perfect balance between visibility and multitasking. Command the editor to be as discreet or as prominent as you need, enhancing your dictation experience with transparency customization.
- Resizing
Tailor the Micro Editor to your preference by resizing it to the perfect dimensions. Whether you prefer a compact view or a larger display, the resizing feature allows you to optimize the editor’s size for maximum comfort and efficiency. Enjoy the flexibility to adapt the Micro Editor to your unique workflow and screen space requirements.
- Setting as Default
Streamline your dictation process by setting the Micro Editor as your default mode. Once configured, the editor will open seamlessly whenever needed, eliminating the need for manual activation.
Tip: Once you are done dictating, you can simply use the command “Transfer Text” to transfer the text from the Micro Editor to your notes.
Smart Editor
The Smart Editor is Augnito’s in-built text editor featuring several advanced speech-based editing functionalities. You can also easily transfer text from the Smart Editor to your preferred application/editor and use multiple tabs for dictation. Once you have opened up your Smart Editor (via the menu, or the “Open Smart Editor” voice command), you can also bring in templates and macros to help easily format your dictated notes.
To access it click on the hamburger menu and then Smart Editor to open it. Alternatively, you can give the voice command “open Smart Editor.” You can also set it as a default editor from the Settings menu.
Go to Settings then General then in Template Editor select the editor you require and then click on Save to save it.
Once dictation is complete, you can either download a copy of the report or save it on the cloud server.
Tip: The Smart Editor on the Augnito Web application has a default, hidden dictation or cursor focus feature—which enables you to view images, old reports, and more, on a different window or tab while continuing to dictate to Augnito.
You can open the Smart Editor by clicking on the widget or simply giving the voice command “Open Smart Editor”.
To move the text from the Smart Editor to the target application (EMR, PACS etc.) please place your cursor in the target location and say “Transfer Text”. This will move all the content generated in the Smart Editor to the target application (copy and paste). The voice command “Transfer Data” on the other hand, moves all the data from Smart Editor/Mini Editor/Micro Editor to the target application, and removes it from the Smart Editor (cut and paste).
Text Anchoring
Speech anchoring is for enhanced focus and productivity during dictation and is only available for the Desktop Widget. You can dictate seamlessly without cursor focus using voice commands, hotkeys, or the Philips mic button. Stay in the flow while utilizing voice commands and hotkeys, with the ability to bring the anchored editor into focus when needed.
You can enable text anchoring from any of the above options:
- Voice Command: Say “Anchor Speech.”
- Hotkey: Press “F7.”
- Philips Mic Button: Press “F4.”
- A toast message will confirm: “Anchor speech.”
- Speech output will be active in the anchored editor, allowing dictation while browsing other tabs.
- To release anchoring, either press “F7” or “F4” (same as anchoring) or use the voice command “Release Speech.”
Note: Front-end beautification (e.g., capitalization after a full stop) works automatically unless the cursor is manually placed after a full stop.
